Nine casinos, drawn from facts

New Westminster Casinos Online Compared

Each of the nine Metro Vancouver casinos is drawn here as a glyph, built only from its published facts. Drag one glyph onto another, or use the compare buttons, to see where the two differ.

By the Glyph WorkshopChecked October 7, 2026

Drag a glyph onto another or press compare, and the differences are listed below in words.

Legend

  • Rays: hours the floor is open, one ray per day
  • Dashed ray: floor hours are not published
  • Inner ring: hours of the live tables
  • Dot: a poker room
  • Dot: a hotel on site or adjoining
  • Dot: a racebook or simulcast racing
  • Dot: a SkyTrain station or bus exchange within 1 km

Rim positions: poker upper right, hotel lower right, racebook lower left, transit upper left. A hollow mark means the facts list none.

Filter by shape

Pick two glyphs to compare, and the differences between them will be listed here.

Reading a glyph: Starlight

Each glyph is drawn from published facts, and the New Westminster glyph shows how. Starlight Casino New Westminster is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so all seven rays run full length. Monday sits at the top and the other days follow clockwise. The inner ring is empty, because Starlight publishes no separate hours for its live tables.

Four dots sit at the rim, and two of them are filled. The poker dot marks a seven-table room: 24 hours Friday and Saturday, from 11 AM until late otherwise. No closing time is published for those days. The racebook dot marks off-track betting in MATCH Eatery & Public House. The hotel dot is hollow, and so is the transit dot: 22nd Street Station is 1.6 km away in a straight line.

The page Reading a glyph explains every mark, including dashed rays and hollow dots.

Starlight Casino New Westminster: Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year.

Marks no glyph needs

Some facts hold at every casino in this guide, so no glyph carries a mark for them. Everyone must be 19 or older to gamble in B.C., and people under 19 may not enter gambling venues. Since June 26, 2023, every person entering a B.C. casino shows government-issued photo ID at the door. Security scans it against the list of people restricted from entering, such as those enrolled in Game Break.

All nine list Encore Rewards as their loyalty programme. Smoking and vaping are banned inside, and within 6 m of doors, windows and air intakes. Each casino also has a GameSense Advisor for people experiencing harm from gambling. The page What all nine share sets these out in one place.

Online in BC

Online gambling in B.C. has the same age rule: 19 or older. PlayNow.com, run by BCLC, is the only legal online gambling site in B.C. On August 28, 2026, the IGCO said that all other online gambling websites letting BC players in operate illegally in the province.

This site's home page carries paid links marked Ad, and they lead to a private online casino. That casino is not PlayNow, and it is not run or licensed by the province. It has no connection with BCLC, the IGCO or any casino in this guide. PlayNow limits and Game Break do not apply there, and complaints cannot go to the IGCO.

The site earns a commission from those links, and the partner can change. The Online note page sets out these points in full.
